What to know
The G.F.J. is Zenith's celebration of a different sort of performance. Where the El Primero races at 5 Hz, the revived Calibre 135 embraces the classical 2.5 Hz beat of an observatory chronometer. For Watches and Wonders 2026, Zenith housed that measured rhythm in a 39.15mm yellow-gold case with a richly patterned bloodstone centre dial. Natural inclusions of red mineral run across the dark-green surface, making every example slightly different.
An outer brick-guilloché chapter ring evokes the façade of the manufacture, while a green mother-of-pearl small-seconds counter creates a third material texture. Behind the dial sits the hand-wound, COSC-certified 135, its dark-ruthenium-finished bridges visible through sapphire. The 72-hour reserve gives a practical benefit to the low-beat architecture. Limited to 161 pieces and delivered with three straps, the G.F.J. makes a very modern case for restraint.
