What to know
Formex takes the clean language of a military field watch into the cockpit with its new AirField Automatic. The Horizon Blue reference 0661.1.6536 uses a finely textured dial with recessed Super-LumiNova numerals, broad sword-shaped hands and a seconds-hand counterweight shaped like a tiny aircraft. The triangle-and-dot orientation marker at noon is classic pilot-watch grammar.

A 40mm hardened Grade 2 titanium case makes it unusually light, measuring 10.5mm thick and 48mm lug-to-lug. Beneath the closed caseback, an upgraded Sellita SW200-2 Power+ automatic supplies a 65-hour reserve. Sapphire glass and 150m water resistance put it firmly in tool-watch territory. Formex announced the AirField in late September with prices from CHF 830 on nylon; its first deliveries are scheduled for late October 2026, so at the time of this article it remains a newly announced preorder rather than an already shipped watch.
