What to know
The Field Automatic Gen 2 Basalt Grey updates Formex’s outdoor watch with a more structured two-level dial. A sunburst centre meets a sloping chapter ring and recessed stencil numerals filled with Super-LumiNova, while a colour-matched date wheel appears at six. Its 40mm Grade 2 titanium case receives a proprietary treatment that raises surface hardness from roughly 145HV to 900HV.
The case measures 10.6mm thick and 46.6mm lug-to-lug, weighs about 65 grams without a strap and offers 150 metres of water resistance through a screw-down crown. A Sellita SW200-1 automatic calibre runs at 4Hz with a 41-hour reserve. Quick-release nylon and leather straps are available, with leather paired to Formex’s micro-adjustable carbon-composite folding clasp.
