What to know
Hublot's September 2026 partnership with artist Jeff Koons produced a particularly ambitious watch: the MP-14 Origin. Its 44mm octagonal case uses sapphire and titanium to expose a construction inspired by the expansion of the universe, with rings of precious stones surrounding a deep blue central dome.
The technical centrepiece is Hublot's first automatic central tourbillon. The HUB9014 manufacture movement uses a peripheral winding mass and offers a stated 60-hour reserve. Suspended rotating rings carry the hours and minutes as coloured cubes, creating an orbital way of reading the time.
Hublot says the transparent sapphire case alone demands approximately 534 machining hours. White-gold rings set with sapphires and diamonds create a striking interplay of light and motion, while the sapphire bracelet continues the case's transparent architecture.

Limited to 30 examples, the MP-14 Origin illustrates how a collaboration can influence the mechanics and architecture of a watch, rather than simply decorate its dial. Hublot announced it on 16 September 2026.
