What to know
Detroit-based Shinola has reimagined its Duck sport watch with a particularly cheerful Canary colourway. The yellow dial and matching textured rubber strap bring an unmistakable dose of colour to a compact, skin-diving-inspired design, while a contrasting black unidirectional bezel makes the watch easy to read. The collection takes its name from a bird equally comfortable on land and in water.
Its 40 mm brushed stainless-steel case measures 11.25 mm thick and has a screw-down crown, flat sapphire crystal and a manufacturer-stated water-resistance rating of 10 ATM (100 metres). C3 Super-LumiNova on the dial and hands supports visibility in lower light. Turn it over and a duck relief engraving on the caseback reinforces the lighthearted identity.

Inside is Shinola’s Argonite 715 battery-powered quartz movement, displaying hours, minutes, seconds and a date. It is not an automatic watch—a distinction worth making in a category often dominated by mechanical divers. The brand lists the Canary edition at US$595 at the time of writing. Chronolume is highlighting this model from the Duck collection; Shinola’s product page does not establish a new October launch date.
