What to know
Norway’s Straum launched its Expedition in August 2026 as the first piece in its new Built For series, translating a love of rugged landscapes into practical equipment rather than dial decoration. The White Lume version makes the clearest statement: the entire dial glows after dark, leaving the black hour markers in silhouette.
The 38.2mm Grade 5 titanium case uses a protective stepped bezel, large screw-down crown and a quick-release strap system. Fluor-orange accents distinguish the date and seconds hand, while an etched explorer on the caseback reinforces its outdoor mission.

A Swiss automatic La Joux-Perret G100 movement provides 68 hours of power reserve. The case measures just 11mm thick and resists water to 100 metres.
The Expedition was announced and opened for preorders in August 2026, with deliveries scheduled for March 2027. It demonstrates how disciplined Nordic utility can be visually distinctive without losing its purpose.
