What to know
Ulysse Nardin's Freak has challenged ordinary notions of time display since 2001, and its September 2026 Freak ONE Blue Enamel brings traditional decorative craft into that radical format. Instead of a stationary dial, the watch has a rotating white-gold hour disc finished with an engraved sunray pattern and layers of deep blue fired enamel.
The enamel work is performed at Donzé Cadrans, with repeated firing around 800°C. This is no purely ornamental dial: it is a moving part of the watch's time display, making careful finishing and precision essential.

The 44mm titanium case houses the automatic UN-240 calibre. Its flying carousel rotates once every hour to indicate minutes, and the mechanism delivers a stated 90-hour reserve. Time-setting is handled without a conventional crown.

Only 99 watches will be made in this Blue Enamel variant. It combines the Freak's mechanical defiance with one of watchmaking's oldest decorative techniques.
